We’re continuing to receive reports of unidentified flying objects in the skies over the province of Palermo. Today’s story is accompanied by a video taken last summer in Balestrate by UFO enthusiast Giuseppe Garofalo. The video clearly shows a ball of light, initially motionless, that suddenly splits into two and then slowly fades away into the darkness.

This is one such case, documented by Garofalo, whose importance is confirmed by Salvatrice Migliaccio and Vito Piero Di Stefano of the cultural association Impronta, which has links to the National UFO Centre (CUN). According to Impronta, “Garofalo is a UFO enthusiast with great observational skills and is certainly competent. There have been several sightings reported by him and his accounts have been found to be truthful. And several times we have worked together on cases that were then proved to be unreliable. He is very rigorous and dogged. His investigations are aimed at finding out the truth, and not in search of sensationalism”. (Archive photo)
