An Italian tourist from Buccheri, in the province of Syracuse, was killed in Fortaleza, Brazil, by some thieves who shot him after having robbed him. The victim was returning to Fortaleza after a trip with his Italian friends, when the car broke down. While the group was waiting for the break down vehicle, some thieves arrived and as they were escaping, maybe because of the reaction of one of the Italians, a gun shot went off and killed the man. Soon after the police arrested the criminals. Giuseppe Paparone, the victim, was due to return to Sicily next week, where his old parents, one of his two sons with his wife, from whom he was separated, and his only sister live, to celebrate his 53rd birthday.
