The Sicilian region, lead by governor Raffaele Lombardo, confirmed the 350 million Euro investment for the infrastructures of the industrial site of Termini Imerese and for the “carrying out of measures to reduce the cost of work and the access to tax credit”. The regional government also decided to hold the area in which the Fiat factory is located and in particular the car production. “We decided – said President Lombardo – to refuse commercial distribution. We hope Fiat will remain here and that the company will keep the promise made in Rome to hand over the keys of the factory”. “We will immediately send – ended Lombardo – the document signed at the Ministry for Economic Development to the Fiat technical table”.
