Luca Cioffi, the baby kidnapped yesterday in Nocera Inferiore (Salerno) was found last night. A nurse from the Cardarelli hospital of Naples had taken the baby. The police broke into Annarita Bonocore’s house, 42, and saved the baby. The woman, with psychological problems, has two children: a 19-year-old girl, also arrested for aiding her mother, and an 11-year-old boy. Baby Luca was brought back to the hospital and was warmly welcomed by the crowd. “I became a father a second time”, said the baby’s father, Fabio Cioffi.

“We had a specific hint – said the chief of police of Salerno, Vincenzo Roca, who arrived at the hospital during the night -. The woman arrested has psychological problems and the baby was in her house in Nocera Inferiore in good conditions”. Annalisa Fortunato, the baby’s mother, forgave the lady who kidnapped Luca. “I’m really sorry for this person because she isn’t well, I don’t hate her”. Still suffering from the Caesarean, she said: “He was born a second time”, then, talking about the lady, “She was a very sweet nurse”.
